Lagrein Kretzer

On the stony slopes of Wolfsthurn Castle at Andrian in the warm Etsch valley we grow our Lagrein grapes. The poor soil of chalk and porphyry leads to a mineral and fruity rosé wine. Lagrein is one of the autochthones southtyrolean wine grapes. Very short maceration and some months in steel tins conserve the freshness and youth of this wine.
A very young and fresh rosé wine, good for aperitif or to pair with cold summer dishes.
This lot contains 2.000 bottles

Vinschgauer Vernatsch

Our Vinschgauer Vernatsch grows on the steepest vineyards the Vinschgau can offer: reachable only by foot the grapes are brought in with a ropeway! The steep terraces are sunny, dry and well ventilated.
After a short and open fermentation follows a storage in old wooden barrels. A relatively spicy Vernatsch! Pair it with  smoked bacon, smoked sausitches and strong alp-cheese.

Südtiroler Vernatsch

On the stony slopes of Wolfsthurn Castle at Andrian in the warm Etsch valley we grow our south-tyrolean Vernatsch grapes. The poor soil of chalk and porphyr leads to a mineralic and full bodied white wine. After a short an controled fermentation follows aperiod of 4 months in old wooden barrels.
This Vernatsch is probably one of the most tipical wines of South-Tyrol: we drink it on the “Speck-Marende” (smoked bacon), a good everyday wine.

Vinschgauer Blauburgunder

On the warm and steep slopes of the Vinschgau Valley are growing our best vineyards of Pinot Noir. The altitude of 700 meters and the dry summerwind form best conditions for the gentle grapes of Pinot Noir. Cold maceration and a fermentation time of 2 weeks lead to great Burgundy wine: The wine matures for 18 months in Barrique barrels, only a small part of them new. Intense aromas of wild berries and soft tannins characterize this classic Pinot Noir. Can be aged for 6 -8 years
